Description

Centrifugal concentrator is the latest gravity concentrator. The principle of this equipment is to use centrifugal force to expand the gravity of mineral particles to separate heavy particles from light particles. Its key component is a conical high-rich cone, which is driven by a motor to rotate at high speed and surrounded by pressurized recoil water.The materials that enter the centrifuge for sorting are generally minerals grinded by a ball mill or overflow pulp of a hydrocyclone. The pulp is injected into the bottom of the enrichment cone from the upper end, and there are rows of grooves formed by ribs in the enrichment cone. The centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the enrichment cone will throw minerals into the grooves, but only heavy mineral particles can overcome the resistance of the recoil water in the grooves and stay in the grooves to form concentrates. Light minerals are difficult to overcome the effect of backwashing water because of the small centrifugal force, so they are washed out of the groove by backwashing water and overflow from the upper end of the enrichment cone under the drive of the continuously injected water flow, thus becoming tailings.
